Ever watch the TV, a play or film and think “I could do that”? Well now you can! Six Wednesday Workshops will use random words or your scraps of ideas to devise a short script through the exploration of character, premise, dialogue, back-stories and technical issues. Be amazed as your ideas and characters come alive in a script-in-hand performance on the Georgian stage!

Actor, writer and director Irene Lofthouse leads you through the process of playwriting from page to stage. Advance Booking essential. Six Wednesday Workshops from 5th May – 9th June at Georgian.

This project is designed especially but not exclusively for the 50+ age-group with funding from the Co-op Membership Community Fund.Scraps have materialised into Scripts. Watch a very special presentation of work created by participants and performed by local actors. Audience discussion after the performance. This can be seen at the theatre on the 25/6/10.

The scheme is aimed (but not exclusively) at people aged 50+.
