The Castle Players production of The Tempest
The Castle Players have been presenting high quality outdoor Shakespeare to sell-out audiences every summer since 1989.

Audiences will be welcomed aboard RMS King of Naples. Join passengers and crew as we sail into the eye of the storm and head for the mayhem of Prospero’s Island – a rather curious cabaret club complete with MC, some mischievous waiters and waitresses, a rather seedy janitor and a live band. A place where nothing is quite what it seems!
Annalisa Ward and Peter Dixon from Radio Teesdale produced an hour long What’s On Special featuring interviews and audio from the play, recorded in the Radio Teesdale Studios. The programme also featured music. Due music licensing regulations we can not include music on our Listen Again site so we bring you a special edition of that programme featuring all other aspects of the programme.
