In Conversation with Michael Morpurgo
Michael Morpurgo, the award-winning children’s author, has written over 100 books. He is one of Britain’s best-loved and most successful authors. His book “Why the Whales Came” has been adapted for the stage by Birmingham Stage Company and is at the Darlington Civic Theatre from 24 to 28 March. Michael spoke to Andrew Harrison and two young Radio Teesdale Members, Bethanie and Emma, about this play as well as how he started writing, the transfer from book to stage, tips for new writers, how he settles down to writing and his forthcoming book, Running Wild.
