Story Engine Northern Screenwriters' Conference
The Northern Screenwriters’ Conference returns for its third year with a new name: The Story Engine, a new venue: Darlington Arts Centre (26+27/2/9), and a simple goal: to help emerging writers gain a better understanding of the art, craft and business of screenwriting.
Building on our reputation of bringing the UK’s most exciting talent to the North East, our headlining guest this year is Oscar-nominated screenwriter Simon Beaufoy, who will be discussing his career from The Full Monty to Slumdog Millionaire. He will be joined by producers, development executives, film funders and writers from the worlds of TV and film.
