Craig Chalmers is a young talented singer from Edinburgh. He featured on BBC show “Any Dream Will Do” and got down to the final 5 Joseph’s!! Craig is now playing the part of Joseph touring the UK in 2008. He will be at the Newcastle Theatre Royal from the 1st to the 13th September and the Darlington Civic from the 3rd to the 8th November. Peter Dixon spoke to him on he week he was appearing at the Sunderland Empire and launching the Darlington Arts new season.

Ann Pilling is an author and poet. She lives in Oxford and retreats to the Yorkshire Dales, which she calls ‘the country of my heart’, whenever possible. On Monday the 7th July 2008 at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond she reads from her new poetry book, “Growing Pains.” Ann spoke to Peter Dixon about writing, her works and even read a poem from her new book.

Spitfire over Barnard Castle on the 2 July 2008
John Yarker spoke to Annalisa Ward about Teesdale’s Aviation Day and the fact that the RAF are sending a Spitfire to fly over Startforth and the river in Barnard Castle.
This is part of an annual memorial service held in the grounds of Deerbolt. To attend the service go to the main carpark at Deerbolt at 10.45am. There will be a 5 minute Spitfire display just before 11.30am. They also hope to have another plane flying over between 10.30am and 11.00am.
