Giglets
Giglets, a Scottish word meaning “laughing children”, aptly describes this thriving young company. In September 2006 they began as a large group of sixth years who formed a Young Enterprise company in Loudoun Academy, Galston, [which incorporated itself to become a Limited Company in late August of 2007]. Over the school year they created an innovative product called “Tam O´Haggis”, a modern adaptation of Robert Burns´ classic poem “Tam O´Shanter”, which includes an illustrated book and read-along CD.
Our aim was to create a product that would help children across Scotland to become more involved in the world of Robert Burns and hopefully encourage them to take a greater interest in his work in the future.
