It’s an ear wax melting celebrity Pod of The Hulme Tune radio show. Great for listening to while waiting for a 250 bus to Piccadilly from Hulme from 0710 on a weekday morning – the next one is at 0920. I know!

There’s an interview with Henry Winkler, when he was book signing at WHSmith in the Arndale. Paul and Kaite was invited to “An Evening of Selfridges Fashion, Music and Celebrity, on Snow!” at the Chill Factore in Trafford. There’s snow business like.. Paul chatting to Zoe Gillings & Alain Baxter “The Highlander” and drinking free Mulberry wine.

Also, live guests were comedy duo, those rude & crude girls, Brides of Comedy, who are performing on Saturday at the Not Part Of NYE at Moho Live in the Northern Quarter.

Mimmo Calopresti & Donatella Finocchiaro Full Interview

This Podcast for ALL FM 96.9 is the full interview with international acclaimed Italian Film Director Mimmo Calopresti & actress Donatella Finocchiaro, when they came to Manchester, here in the UK, for the Italian Contemporary Cinema 3-day event from 12 – 14 June 2008. This was only possible due to the help of the female interpreter in translating, which can be a bit difficult. Thanks to her we can now bring you this full interview to your ears. Great if you speak or are learning Italian or simply adore Italian film and want to hear Mimmo chat about film making in Italy.

Paul Ridyard and Kaite Boltain went along to the Cornerhouse Cinema on Thursday 12 June at the start of the 3-day event. Mimmo Calopresti, Donatella Finocchiaro and Film Editor Raimondo Aiello were guests of honour as a packed cinema audience watched one of his films L’ Abbuffata (The Feast).

Kaite was nervous, but did brilliantly for her first time. Paul took a back seat for a while. Afterwards, Kaite gave Mimmo a present and Paul didn’t get Donatella’s number – better luck next time! Maybe he needs a few Italian classes.. in lurrvv, that is.

Zion Arts Centre are hosting the British Urban Collective next week and artists can audition for fame.

And, by the way.. forgot to mention.. shhh.. Paul Heaton is playing at the University of Manchester – Friday 4 July @ 7.30pm.

Those Royce Road blockin’ protesters talk to The Hulme Tune, with a response from Cllr Nigel Murphy and the Greens, who want new turf. And who said, “Hello People!”? Also, a 5yr old boy speaks of the swings and roundabouts of campaigning for safer playtimes.
